Brad Mclean is the head of human resources for BlueScope's Commercial and IT departments. He enjoys solving business problems through people, while transforming the employee experience, team dynamics and organisational culture. He is also passionate about building awareness and exploring use cases for GenAI. Brad has previously held leadership roles at BlueScope as Head of Learning and Development, and Head of Employee Relations. He has also specialised in employment and industrial relations law for almost 15 years, including at top tier employment law firms (Ashurst and Seyfarth Shaw). Most recently, Brad was named as a Finalist and Excellence Awardee in the category of Australian HR Manager of the Year at HRD’s 2024 Australian HR Awards, and was also recognised on HRD’s 2025 Australia & New Zealand Hot List.
