Toni Grimshaw

Chief People Safety and Well Being Officer

Toni Grimshaw is an experienced leader who has worked right across the people, safety and wellbeing remit. She has worked across large and complex public and private organisations in New Zealand and the UK, including ANZCO Foods and the Ministry of Justice. Before joining NZ Rugby, Toni was the chief people officer at Te Tari Ture o te Karauna Crown Law. Toni is passionate about creating safe, inclusive and high performing workplaces and was a finalist for HRNZ HR Professional of the Year in 2022, Toni was also named on the 2024 HR Directors Hotlist. At NZ Rugby, Toni is responsible for leading people, safety and wellbeing services across community and professional rugby – including teams in black - and across NZ Rugby and NZ Rugby commercial and their respective Boards. The people, safety and wellbeing group covers people and capability, culture, diversity and inclusion, mental health and wellbeing, health and safety, ACC Accreditation / injury management, medical delivery, governance and research and evaluation.
