Nicole Paterson currently leads the organisational capability function at Genesis Energy, where she is responsible for learning and development, diversity, equity and inclusion, talent management, and employee experience. She has been with Genesis Energy since January 2024. During her time at Genesis, Nicole has driven the development of a comprehensive people strategy aligned with the company’s 10-year vision, implemented new DEI initiatives, and overseen key advancements in leadership development and employee engagement programs. Before joining Genesis Energy, Nicole spent over six years with SkyCity Entertainment Group, where she held various senior roles, including human resources manager and acting group head of learning. During this time, she successfully managed large-scale change initiatives, organisational design projects, and union negotiations across New Zealand and international markets. Nicole’s career also includes consulting roles at Deloitte and HSBC, where she specialised in business transformation, human resources optimisation, and change delivery. Nicole holds a master of science (Hons) in industrial psychology and is passionate about fostering cultures of care, ambition, and performance.
